Life Path Number 8 | In Greek mythology, Zeus embodies the Archetype of the Sovereign. Lord of heaven and rain, he ruled from the top of Mount Olympus, whose stormy peaks were hidden by thick clouds. The lightning that he throws symbolizes the light of reason, but at the same time also represents the choleric and punitive aspect of the god. His power was already manifest at an early age when with a stratagem he ousted his father Cronos, who in order not to be dethroned devoured all his children. With the same force, he took possession of heaven and earth. Zeus represents the organizing principle of the world, as well as the establishment and maintenance of the rules that ensure the protection of the moral and civil order. It is the emblem of the authoritarian figure who does not seek dialogue, but "thunders" as the archetype of the patriarchal head of the family. The Sovereign speaks to us of the desire to build a Kingdom to become the Kings or Queens of our life: during the journey, we acquire the skills to become leaders, and we prepare ourselves for command, for royalty. The Sovereign materializes the will of the Spirit in the visible world. To become sovereign you have to take responsibility for your life and have passed several tests and faced the dark sides. The life of the sovereign is rich and privileged, but it also requires great moral rigor; the sovereign must be realistic and must take appropriate initiatives in concrete situations, as required by the politics of power. The Sovereign who is within us is always looking for the secret potential of the people around us to ensure that every talent can be used productively. He knows that the Kingdom cannot be fully productive if there is harmony and conflicts are not managed effectively. The sovereign's task is to promote order, peace, prosperity, and abundance.

The Sovereign in his shadow side becomes the Tyrant. This Shadow number is characterized by an excessive attachment to material goods, a thirst for power, and a distrust for the world, which leads him to remove his emotional side, and lived only as an obstacle to achieving his goals. Difficulty in letting go, dominated as it is by the need to control himself and others, from which he tends to demand recognition and on which he feels he has the right to impose his own vision and authority.
